Festive Workshops
Our programme takes a delightfully festive turn throughout November and December. Visitors can book onto Christmas Creatures in Willow workshops, make hand-printed Christmas cards, and create seasonal dried flower wreaths to adorn the home. Craft an everlasting Christmas tree from estate grown and foraged foliage and blooms, discover the art of needle-felting baubles, or learn how to host like a pro on a Christmas tablescaping masterclass.
Newtlings Magic
This festive season at The Newt, little ones can step into a world of wonder with our Enchanted Christmas Trail inspired by a kindly badger who keeps watch over the woodland creatures and enjoy magical workshops inspired by Saint Nicholas and the folklore of the Somerset woods. From crafting charms and wooden toys to uncovering hidden treats among frosted gardens, every adventure is designed to spark imagination, warmth, and festive joy for families to share. St Nic Returns
Our much loved St Nicholas visits in the Gardener’s Cottage will return in the run up to the big day (sign up below to be the first to know!)
This year, we’re adding a little extra theatrical magic, with a Newtlings’ Toymaking workshop with our in-house elves, plus a (mini) workshop crafting charms to guide St Nicholas on his onward journey according to our own Newt folklore.
