A Bee’s Eye View

Step into our Beezantium, a scaled-up honeyed beehive, for a fascinating bee’s eye view of the world. Honeycomb walls feature educational panels for all ages and audio guides offer unique insight into the invaluable role our bees play in preserving the ecosystem, how we can help them in practical ways, and the intrinsic relationship between bees, the land and us humans.

Nestled in the woodland and surrounded by a specially planted apiary, the Beezantium houses a selection of our wild bee colonies in observation hives.

A gentle 10-minute walk from the Threshing Barn, it’s an engaging, relaxing and immersive experience for adults and children alike, inviting members and guests to discover the mysterious life of bees up close.

Booking a time slot, available from 9.30am – 2.30pm, is essential.

The Honey House

An extension of the Beezantium, The Honey House is a dedicated workshop space for learning and education. A short walk from our temple for bees, it’s also a hive of activity for our precious estate honey production.

Somerset Bee Safari

Join a special tour with our beekeepers to go on a wild bee chase for live observation, before diving into the honeycomb structures of the Beezantium, where you can peer into a hive to see a colony at work.

Open to members and guests, it’s a chance to see our VIPs (Very Important Pollinators) in thriving hives and wildflower meadows while discovering how our stripey friends shape the landscape around us.

A Garden for All Seasons

Influenced by thousands of years of horticultural history, take a stroll through acres of formal gardens and perhaps learn something along the way. We share the land with a host of wildlife; you may spot native deer promenading in the woods or Great Crested newts bathing in the ponds.
