Stay and Grow
With two distinct personalities, our hotel of two halves allows you to choose between the Georgian grandeur of Hadspen House or the bucolic charm of the Farmyard. Stay in the house at the heart of the estate and enjoy far-reaching views out over gardens or embrace the slower pace and serenity at our former dairy farm. Bikes and buggies are on hand for pootling between the two.
Meeting spaces from The College Room to the Story of Gardening are inspiring and relaxed and once work is done for the day, you’re encouraged to get out and explore. Join an estate tour, float in the spa and test out our plot-to-plate dining or cocktails in the bar.
Sow the Seeds
For creativity and great ideas to thrive, we all need less screentime and more green time. Here at The Newt, the gardens are home to acres of cascading terraces, pretty scented beds, ancient woodland, orchards, produce gardens and exotic displays expertly tended over hundreds of years.
Teams will be inspired by art, botany and design; the ideal environment for new ideas to germinate and grow.

Our Great Garden Escape is a truly unique day out of the office for corporate teams keen to trade the London skyline for the Somerset countryside.
Our first-class train journey from London Paddington unfolds into an immersive Newt experience: taking in the beauty and bounty of the gardens, time to explore and a veg-led lunch at The Garden Café. From breakfast on board to cider tastings and afternoon tea, it’s a no-decisions-needed restorative escape designed to inspire connection and fresh perspective.

Yes. Selected dining spaces are available for exclusive daytime hire, subject to availability and minimum spends.
Yes. Both The College Room and The Story of Gardening offer AV facilities and a screen, making them well suited to meetings, presentations and conference sessions.
This depends on your package. Estate admission is included within The Story of Gardening package. For other bookings, admission applies for non-members.
Yes. We can accommodate dietary requirements and allergies with advance notice to ensure every guest enjoys their visit.
Yes. For larger groups, we can use multiple spaces or divide guests between experiences before bringing everyone together for dining.
Yes. Coach groups are welcome, and parking is available on the estate. Our team can provide arrival information and help ensure your visit runs smoothly.
