The Newt and Claridge’s may be miles apart geographically speaking, but we share a devotion to exceptional produce, world-class standards, beautiful presentation and a distinctly British sense of occasion. Which is why in the run up to the Chelsea Flower Show we’re launching a special collaboration. For two weeks in May, a taste of the countryside lands in London, bringing the spirit of our estate to the Grand Dame of Mayfair in the form of a spectacular installation, Somerset flavours on the menu, retail exclusives, and two distinct packages for guests.
A Farm in Mayfair
At the centre of the collaboration is A Farm in Mayfair, a towering willow sculpture climbing skyward through the foyer. Woven by hand, it tells a story of our Somerset estate: cattle amid apple trees and grasses, a proud stag and grazing ewes, all crowned by a single egg at the top. The installation also features a corridor of apples (ripe for the taking), while further willow sculptures and a special hamper collaboration bring a slice of the farm to the city.
