The main house was built in the 17th century, then extensively remodelled in Georgian times. It nestles quietly amongst gardens, orchards, lakes and woodlands that reflect the love lavished upon them over the past three hundred years.
The restrained, classical beauty of the house is offset by playful design. Thirteen guest rooms have luxury bathrooms and offer every comfort. An inventive afternoon tea, using fruit and vegetables from our gardens and fresh cakes and pastries from our Bakery, is served in the Drawing Room.
