“In early June the world of leaf and blade and flowers explodes, and every sunset is different.” – John Steinbeck, The Winter Of Our Discontent

In this major lunar standstill year, June sees the full moon dip to its lowest point for 18.6 years and the sun soar high in the sky, ensuring more time to bask in long, languorous evenings and good times. Sunset picnics make a return in fair weather with our new Summer Socials, Father’s Day brings cause for celebration, and the garden is awash with fragrant blousy roses in dreamy romantic hues. Summer in Somerset is on the way – let’s go outside and revel in the beauty of the moment.

Join us in June for a dawn walk to soak in the exuberant sights, cook over fire on a Gardener & Chef session or learn a new craft, from botanical painting to green woodworking.
