Newtlings: Art School

Folk Art: October Magic

Join Bristol-based artists Let’s Make Art for a special October edition of Newtlings Art School, inspired by the colours, shapes and language of the season.

Drawing on the bold forms and playful storytelling of folk art, Newtlings will explore typography, paper cutting, sculpture and language to create their own seasonal artwork.

Through drawing games, creative warm-ups and hands-on experimentation, children will play with words, shapes and natural forms before bringing their ideas together into a layered piece of art to take home.

Guided by professional artists from Let’s Make Art – artists-in-residence at Arnolfini – children will develop creativity and practical artistic skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.
