Hort Shorts: Introduction to Pruning Roses
2, 9 December / 9:30am
If your roses have gifted you with beautiful blooms all summer long, now’s the time to return the favour by brushing up on your pruning skills. Join Lead Gardener Ed Edge for a Hort Short that leads you through the all-important pruning process, from when to cut, to where, how and why.
Explore the diverse rose collection found within the Four Seasons Summer Garden, learn about the different species and forms of rose and, most crucially, learn how to maintain healthy, vigorous and abundant roses at home. The workshop will cover shrub roses, climbers and ramblers, species and old roses, with hands-on practice with some of our English shrub roses.
With your new-found knowledge you’ll improve the lifespan of your own roses, and maximise their blooms next season.
