Join celebrated dry stone waller Tom Trouton for a day of satisfying and hands-on building.
Taking place at our dedicated dry stone wall area in the Deer Park, you’ll be surrounded by nature as Tim takes you through the history, theory and design techniques behind the ancient art of dry stone walling.

You’ll learn the tricks behind classic dry stone and retaining walls, and have the chance to try your hand at features as varied as a moon gate, fire pit, statuary, water features, cobbling and paving.

After working up a healthy appetite, you’ll break for a picnic lunch, then finish things off in the afternoon.

Timings
Arrive for 9.15am to allow time for tea and coffee and to reach the enclosure.
Workshop starts at 9.30am.
Lunch at roughly 1pm.
Workshop finishes at 4.30pm.
