Bulb to Bloom: Layer, Plant & Propagate
3, 10 November / 9:30am
Learn the secrets behind brilliant bulbs, from handling and planting to aftercare.
£ 175 per person.
Bulbs add flair and finesse to any garden, bringing darts of colour to borders, or impressing with vast swathes of blooms.
In this workshop you’ll explore the different types of bulbs, including true bulbs, corms, tubers, rhizomes and tuberous roots, and gain practical skills in planning, handling, preparation and aftercare to use in your own gardens.
You’ll also be shown propagation techniques for spring-flowering bulbs, and will get hands on with the Dutch technique of bulb layering – sometimes known as ‘bulb lasagne’ – creating your own pot to take home.
