Entry to the gardens and our drop in workshops is included in your membership, some events will require pre-booking and others have an additional cost associated with them. Children (0-16 years) are free of charge if they are accompanied by an adult member.

To book Newtlings activities, you will need a member to purchase an adult guest pass on your behalf, giving you access to the gardens. Children (0-16 years) gain free entry when accompanied by an adult member, or an adult with a Guest Pass.

Play, learn & explore, Newtlings style
Expect a dedicated programme of nature-filled adventure in play over February half term. Newtlings can head into the woods for full or half days of Forest School or get hands-on with willow weaving or wild cooking.

Forest to Fire Wild Cooking
If you go down to the woods on 18 February, you can be sure of a delicious surprise. With gentle guidance, Newtlings will forage wild ingredients from the hedgerows and woodland before a collective cooking session over fire.
Budding chefs will learn about the natural abundance of the land that feeds us and cook up a treat to try.
From 10am – 4pm in one and a half hour slots. £12 per child. Children under 6 must be accompanied by a grown-up.
Forest School Half & Full Days
Monday 16 February
Forest School Full Day
Book your Newtlings on a full day of nature-filled adventure building confidence, learning new skills and having fun come rain or shine, running from 9am-4pm. Drop the kids with our expert team and enjoy some down time on the estate.
£50 per child, for children age 6 and over.
Wednesday 17 February
Forest School Half Day
Returning this February, with our new tailored age format, expect an emphasis on confidence building, creativity and play for 5-7s, stepping up into adventure and independence for 8-11s. Drop the kids with our expert team and enjoy some down time on the estate.
Choose between a morning session from 9am-12pm for 5-7 year-olds.

Falconry Meet & Greet
Join our falconry expert and gamekeeper Jim on Thursday 19 February at 2pm for a family-friendly meet-and-greet to get up close to awe-inspiring birds of prey.
Enjoy a rare chance to come face-to-face with Jim’s majestic birds and encounter owls, kestrels, hawks and more. Designed for children and curious minds of all ages, you’ll learn about their lives, skills and important role in the Somerset landscape. Experience the bond that develops between these fascinating birds and their trusted handler, with a chance to try on the famed falconry glove.
