Harvest time is a chance for us to reconnect with our farming heritage and celebrate nature’s generosity with a joyful weekend of food, music and craftsmanship in the gardens. Expect two days of dancing around hay bales with live music, crisp cyder to toast, Kitchen Garden tours, tractor rides through the orchards, a chance to meet the farm team, Gardener Q&As, Newtling activities, finest BBQ fare and more.
Harvest Supper with Horrell & Horrell
Kicking off Harvest Weekend, we’re delighted to welcome back supper club hosts extraordinaire, Jules & Steve from Horrell & Horrell, to cook up a three-course fire feast in the Kitchen Garden with our team. Gather friends for Friday night supper and sundowners with a golden garden view as Steve and our chefs showcase the best of the season for your table.
Autumn Activities At The Newt
From our annual Harvest Weekend (20 – 21 September) and Harvest Supper (19 September) to celebrate the arrival of the autumn equinox, to Apple Day Weekend (18 – 19 October), why not coordinate a stay with one of our big autumn events? October Half Term (25 October – 2 November) brings family-friendly adventures and a wealth of autumn activities, and coming in hot again this year, members and hotel guests are invited to share in the spectacle of Fire Night (7 November).

Wildlife Wanderers, Dens & Shelters and Forest Carving sessions join our Bug Architects masterclass – all designed to nurture and inspire adventurous young minds. Hop on a Tractor Tour through the orchards over 25 - 26 October, meet Jim and his birds of prey, discover wild walks & printmaking, paper lantern crafting & fireside tales, our popular shadow puppets workshop and more.
