Chatsworth* is home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, and has been passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family. Renowned for the quality of its art, landscape and hospitality, it has evolved through the centuries to reflect the tastes, passions and interests of succeeding generations.
The 105 acre garden is the product of nearly 500 years of careful cultivation, and retains many early features, including the Canal Pond, Cascade and 1st Duke's Greenhouse. The Arcadia project, which started in 2020, is the biggest transformation of the garden for 200 years - including a remodelled Rock Garden, the Maze borders, the Ravine, and Dan Pearson’s redevelopment of the Trout Stream and the Jack Pond.
