More Family Days Out

With your membership comes unlimited access to the gardens, our deer park, woodlands, a magical grotto and our exhibitions: The Story of Gardening, Beezantium and The Roman Villa.

Seasonal events like Fire Night, Apple Day and Wassail mark the year with ceremony and celebration, and there’s a wonderful blend of educational, physical and creative workshops on offer.

Starting from £60, all our memberships offer free entry for up to six children per adult member - unlocking all the benefits for the whole family.

What’s more, membership at The Newt gives you and your family entry to over 20 Partner Gardens, from Kew to the Eden Project, across the UK.

Activities for Children

The Newt is a child-friendly haven, with nature at its heart. Family days out can be laid back and low key, dedicated to nothing more than lazing under our lime trees, splashing in our water features, wandering the woodlands, and enjoying scoops of gelato while Newt-spotting in the ponds.

Or, you can ramp up the adventure and book in for tree climbing, forest school sessions hands-on workshops and imagination-boosting activities – all part of our dedicated, year round ‘Newtlings’ programme.

Family Fun at our Partner Gardens

Members and their children enjoy free entry to prominent national and international gardens, from Kew Gardens in London to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall - making our membership great value all year round for you and your family.

Share the Gardens

Make it a day out for your whole family, bringing grandparents and friends with our Member Guest Day Passes, available for £25 per adult.

Guest Passes can be also used without the purchasing member in attendance – particularly helpful in school holidays and the long summer break – enabling children to attend with another family member, or carer.

Easy Does It

We know that when you’re wrangling little ones, a little help goes a long way. Which is why the estate provides well-spaced toilet stops, baby-changing facilities, buggy storage, shady areas and a child-friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

When you need a pick-me-up, our restaurants and cafés have plenty of options for younger guests, with seasonally-changing menus.

Roam and Discover

Wandering the grounds you'll find plenty of entertainment for young adventurers. From the Viper to the Snail Mound, grab a map and go explore!
