Garden Lates: Seafood BBQ

Enjoy the garden after hours!

Join us for a Garden Late at the height of August - a vibrant picnic experience hosted by The Newt's Head of Food Gelf Alderson. For this Late we’re celebrating seafood, from scallops dressed with chilli butter to perfectly charred Cornish lobster kebabs.

Alongside, think dressed salads fresh from the gardens and tangy tomato and strawberry panzanella. All enjoyed of course, with a glass or two of fine cyder.

Find your spot and get lost in the laid back summer feeling to a soundtrack of sultry beats and unmissable sunset views. Garden Lates take place al fresco in our BBQ and picnic area. If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day, we'll move things inside to the Garden Café.

Please Note

Newt Membership is required to attend Garden Lates. Our formal gardens are open for exploration and guests are welcome to enter the gardens from 6.30pm. The gardens will close at 9.30pm (or when dark).

Some of our pitches are on the ground (laid picnic blankets), whilst others are seated on our garden chairs – please indicate your preference when booking.
