Approximately a 30 min walk from the car park, there may be a queue on arrival, therefore we recommend you arrive at the Newt 1 hr prior to your slot.
The Roman Villa Experience will be closed all day on Wednesday the 27th November.
The expansive and ambitious reimagining of a Romano-British villa, inspired by the unearthing of a settlement on the estate, dating back to 351AD, sitting alongside an innovative and interactive visitor centre.
We recommend allowing two hours to enjoy the experience. The Villa will close at 3:30pm, when booking the final slot, the time to enjoy the Villa will be limited to an hour and a half.
Private Buggy Hire bookings available on the day only, £25 + security deposit.

Roman Villa Food Experience - The Thermopolium
Step back into the tastes and aromas of Ancient Rome at our faithfully reconstructed Thermopolium. Here, dishes inspired by Roman history and literature are brought to life with fresh estate produce, offering a vibrant glimpse into culinary traditions that have endured for millennia.
Nestled in the courtyard of our meticulously crafted Roman Villa, the Thermopolium is brought to life and guided by the wisdom of Ricky, our resident Roman Food expert. A visit is an opportunity not only to savour authentic flavours, but also to hear the stories, techniques and ingredients that shaped Rome’s gastronomic world.
