Hort Shorts: Design a Border

Have you always wanted to design a border that keeps giving through the seasons but haven't been entirely sure about what sort of soil preparation is required, what plant pairings work best, how to prolong interest, where to source plants, how to include architectural planting, which colour palettes harmonise, and how to how to tend them once you have planted? This is the short-format workshop for you.

Design a border under guidance from our expert team. This short course covers how to design a border, and includes how to implement your design and tend it in years to come, as well as tips and tricks to ensure success.

The day begins with coffee and cinnamon buns as we discover what you want to achieve from your border. Then it is out into the gardens to go through the beds in detail. We will cover designs from our Colour Gardens, Cottage Garden, the Cascades and Victorian beds. We cover tips for greater success.

All materials and equipment are provided.
