£ 55 per person.
Discover the traditional skill of fruit tree grafting with Andy ‘Apples’ Lewis, our Specialist Fruit Grower, and learn how to create your own apple trees using techniques that have been practised for generations.
Begin with a guided walk through the Parabola, home to our remarkable collection of apple trees, and explore the important role grafting has played in bringing together hundreds of different varieties.
During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn why, when and how to graft, selecting scion wood from our collection of 300 apple cultivars before practising the techniques of joining it to rootstock. With expert guidance from Andy, you'll create three grafted apple trees to take home, plant and nurture for years to come.
