Autumn Printmaking: Wild Walks

Join Newt Education Leader and artist Liz Clayton of Slow Sunday for an hour-long autumnal printmaking special.

Children will set off on a magical guided walk with Martha, exploring the estate to forage for beautiful plants and leaves and uncover hidden treasures to use in their artwork. Back in the College Room, under Liz’s expert guidance, they’ll transform their gathered treasures into unique prints to take home.

Meanwhile, adults can enjoy 60 minutes of uninterrupted Newt bliss - perhaps a treat at the Garden Café or Cyder Bar, a spot of shopping, or a peaceful autumn stroll through the estate.

All Hallows Eve Workshops

Round off half-term and get in the Halloween spirit (Newt style) with our magical and mythical 'All Hallows Eve' inspired workshops.

Join us on Thursday 30 October as we welcome back puppeteer Talullah Swirls for a magical, hands-on and unforgettable session inspired by Mexico’s famous Día de Los Muertos. Children will get creative, making their very own skeleton shadow puppets to take home as well as enjoy an immersive puppet show led by Talullah.

Then join us as we celebrate Halloween on the estate on 31 October. Learn how to craft your own lantern, before joining our parade through the Deer Park - gathering together around our ancient 200 year old Druid Tree for folkloric fireside tales and marshmallows.

Falconry Meet & Greet

Join our falconry expert and gamekeeper Jim on Thursday 30 October for a family-friendly meet-and-greet to get up close to awe-inspiring birds of prey.

This is a rare chance to come face-to-face with Jim’s majestic birds and encounter owls, kestrels, hawks and more. Designed for children and curious minds of all ages, you’ll learn about their lives, habits and experience the bond that develops between these fascinating birds and their trusted handler.
