Quick March: Nature’s New Year
February 27th, 2025“March brings breezes loud and shrill,
To stir the dancing daffodil” — Sara Coleridge

March sees the long-awaited arrival of fresh green shoots, the equinox, more sunlight as the clocks go forward and a flurry of celebrations from Shrove Tuesday to Mother’s Day.
Our gardeners throw their energy into sowing and growing this month, and chefs follow their noses to forage wild garlic and nettle tips to sprinkle into new season dishes across the estate. Spring is (almost) here!
