Dinner goes antiquarian at Villa Ventorum as we take a leaf out of the ancients' book and serve up a feast worthy of Bacchus himself.

Drink in hand, enjoy an intimate tour of the villa after hours, led by our expert Villa Ventorum team. From here, guests will enjoy a brazier lit sharing feast, set to the backdrop of the villa's gardens with live harpist.

The evening’s menu looks back almost two thousand years, drawing on dishes recorded by writers including Cato the Elder, Columella, Virgil and the unverified compiler of De Re Coquinaria. Some recipes have been recreated faithfully, while others have been gently adapted using the finest seasonal produce from the estate.

Please note seating will be banquet style and sharing plates to enjoy.
The Museum will be closed during this experience, while the villa is open to explore at your lesuire.
