The Botanical Rooms

Our food is driven by provenance, taking influence from our land, locality and history, cooked with natural fire and smoke. Every plate of food features something from our Estate and gardens, whether grown, foraged, distilled or baked in our kitchens and Bakery.  Anything that we don’t produce ourselves, we source from our neighbours and the best local suppliers.

The Botanical Rooms

Guests can enjoy seasonal dining inspired by their historic surroundings, feasting on estate meats and vegetables cooked on a unique grill, fired with wood from our own woodland.

Reservations for lunch or dinner must be made in advance.

Lunch is usually available seven days a week, with non-residents welcome by prior reservation. While national lockdown restrictions are in place, the hotel and The Botanical Rooms will be temporarily closed.

In the original vaulted cellar of the house, communal dining, wine tasting, special events and candlelit house feasts for 14–16 people are possible.

"Our menus are really dictated by our gardeners. What they plant and harvest, we use in exciting and unconventional ways. Each plate has its own identity, just like the ingredients themselves."
