Spring Trail

3 April

Buzz like a bee through the gardens on a hunt for nectar and pollen amid our spring flowers.

3 April - 31 May

Our new spring trail is a celebration of the gardens and the bees that keep them looking so glorious.

Help The Beekeeper as our honeybees awake from their winter torpor and take flight across the estate. Follow their path as they seek pollen and nectar to refresh the hive, journeying through different parts of the gardens as they come into their spring colours and scents.

Look out for different species of bees, discover why they need nectar, pollen and water and see how their foraging shifts with the seasons. The trail starts in April and runs to the end of May, so what you find along the way will change as different flowers come and go. Repeat visits encouraged!

No booking needed, but a valid Membership or Day Pass is required. Ask at the Threshing Barn to receive a trail map and off you go.
