Shinrin yoku, 'forest bathing', emerged out of Japan over four decades ago but in reality has been practised by humans for millenia. It is the act of taking-in the forest atmosphere and consciously connecting with the natural surroundings.

The course is led by one of our qualified and experienced spa therapists, Angie, who specialises in this particular form of eco-therapy. The day begins at 8am with a guided walk into the woods and a simple breathing exercise. You are then led through the process of effective immersion, healing and mindfulness in the Newt's diverse and rich woodland habitat. The session ends at 9am.

This experience is held on Sundays and is suitable for beginners and seasoned forest bathers alike, and is open to our garden members and hotel guests.
