Hort Short: Winter Tree Identification

The workshop begins at 9:30am, however we recommend that you aim to arrive at 9.15am to allow enough time to park and walk up to the Threshing Barn where you’ll be greeted by a member of our team. All materials and equipment are provided. Please wear sturdy footwear and practical clothing. Includes: Tea & coffee on arrival with the Bakery’s signature cinnamon bun
Upskill in the new year. Learn how to identify trees in the field in this hands on workshop, which will explore the estate in winter.
£ 50 per person.
An engaging, hands-on session designed to help participants identify trees during the winter months by observing bark, buds, branch structure and habit. The session begins with a classroom-based talk to introduce key concepts, followed by a practical outdoor session where you will apply your newly gained knowledge to identify trees in the field. Alongside botanical identification, you will learn about the important relationships between trees and wildlife during the colder months.
